I built a Twitter Fountain a few months ago for MIT Hacking Medicine’s Grand Hackfest. As an organizer for the event, I was sad that I wouldn’t get to build stuff at the event so I decided to build for the event instead. The goal was to encourage more people to tweet. The approach I took was to make each virtual tweet manifest itself in the physical world by making a drop of water fall into a bucket every time someone tweeted with the #grandhack hashtag. Tweeting became a collective, group goal. Everyone joined forces to fill the entire bucket with tweets over the course of the weekend. Check out the demo video below! As well as my favorite reaction video!  (An Instructables tutorial is coming soon)
